The corner led Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Erhan Eroğul to fire away a dangerous shot which Calixto Inchaurdi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Dale Dolar came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Dolar couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blasi Asas in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Evelio Inguanzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Inguanzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calixto Inchaurdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermann Hesse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Blasi Asas. Evelio Inguanzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Peru's Calixto Inchaurdi got control of the ball when Evelio Inguanzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Erruki Velarroa was substituted for Evelio Inguanzo. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjørn Trondsen came free, but Calixto Inchaurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Claude Pradias fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hermann Hesse, passed just outside the right post. 90 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Misaki came free, but Calixto Inchaurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Deportivo Popolizio FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjørn Trondsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermann Hesse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorrin Briones in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 93rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Calixto Inchaurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
