After some careless play in the Padrón 1744 defense, Matias Montrelle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Ganix. The Padrón 1744 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Ganix should have stopped the shot. After 6 played minutes Padrón 1744 got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Castulo. The long shot by Anselmo Pitin in the 7th minute really tested Lino Ganix's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Jaen in the 13th minute of play forced Estrellas de Caballito's goalkeeper Jaime Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, Estrellas de Caballito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Eneko to maneuver through the defense. Estrellas de Caballito's Jaime Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Jaen in the 16th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Matias Montrelle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Padrón 1744's Lino Ganix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Padrón 1744's Lino Ganix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Luzea in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Padrón 1744's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Montrelle came free, but Lino Ganix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Estrellas de Caballito booed when Padrón 1744 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Foro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Padrón 1744's goalkeeper Lino Ganix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matias Montrelle. Salvador Castulo charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Castulo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salvador Castulo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Eugenio Delfino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Matias Montrelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrellas de Caballito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Montrelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Padrón 1744's Apolo Foro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
A collision led to Estrellas de Caballito getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ciriaco Eneko hit a great ball. Estrellas de Caballito's Jaime Venceslao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Estrellas de Caballito from getting a goal against them. Apolo Foro hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Padrón 1744's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Montrelle came free, but Lino Ganix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Padrón 1744's Amado Emmanuel got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Anselmo Pitin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lino Ganix skillfully saved the ball. Padrón 1744's Lino Ganix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Montrelle in the 58th minute of play. Eugenio Delfino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Ganix having to interfere. Estrellas de Caballito's Patricio Sabin was substituted for Alberto Refugio. After 70 played minutes Estrellas de Caballito got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Bento. In the 72nd minute, Padrón 1744's Angelino Remigio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angelino Remigio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Padrón 1744 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelino Remigio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Lino Ganix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Bento in the 78th minute of play. Jeronimo Bento kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Padrón 1744's zone, Higinio Luzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Ganix came out of the goal and Higinio Luzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Estrellas de Caballito fans cheered their team off the field, for while Padrón 1744 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
