In the 5th minute Pawel Wolnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Gianluigi Buffon got control of the ball when Ramon Rius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Mukenio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Hever in the 14th minute. Gianluigi Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Rius in the 17th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Jean-Pierre Pogba in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Alberto Santo. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Kaxen in the 21st minute of play. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Gianluigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores del Tiki Tiki from getting a goal against them. When Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Pawel Wolnik in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Mukenio's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pawel Wolnik in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Gimenez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Dario Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Vidican hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Budín made a kick off. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Rius in the 52nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Ismael Gimenez threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Justino Kaxen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Kaxen came free, but Ismael Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Justino Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Defensores del Tiki Tiki got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Cantero. 64 minutes into the match, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Rius came free, but Gianluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Mukenio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Pawel Wolnik scored to the left of an out of position Ismael Gimenez, making the score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawel Wolnik in the 79th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ismael Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mukenio's Jean-Pierre Pogba got a free kick in the 94th minute. Carmelo Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Defensores del Tiki Tiki had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
