The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Deportivo Altos de Caruno got a freekick which was hit by Txurio Guren. In the 4th minute, Asteri Abrante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Deportivo Altos de Caruno booed when C.D Escuela Mayor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio De Vecchis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Deportivo Altos de Caruno defense, Ferruccio De Vecchis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Chillon. The Deportivo Altos de Caruno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Chillon should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Ferruccio De Vecchis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Chillon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 15 minutes of play, C.D Escuela Mayor's Kudret Uzma made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Chillon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Ospetsu Villaquilambre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Chillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Ferruccio De Vecchis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Chillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sagrario Guiu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Altos de Caruno's zone, Kudret Uzma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Chillon came out of the goal and Kudret Uzma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, C.D Escuela Mayor's Gau Piedra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horacio Chillon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Deportivo Altos de Caruno's Horacio Chillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kudret Uzma in the 30th minute of play. If Kudret Uzma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kudret Uzma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Horacio Chillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gau Piedra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Chillon having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Gau Piedra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Chillon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 41 minutes into the match, Gau Piedra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Chillon. Deportivo Altos de Caruno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gau Piedra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 45th minute, Gau Piedra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half C.D Escuela Mayor were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferruccio De Vecchis made a kick off. With a little luck, Deportivo Altos de Caruno's Horacio Chillon got control of the ball when Ferruccio De Vecchis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Gau Piedra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute Kudret Uzma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Chillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Chillon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kudret Uzma's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Horacio Chillon was a little too slow when Gau Piedra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 61st minute Gau Piedra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Chillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Chillon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio De Vecchis in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Ferruccio De Vecchis made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Chillon. Deportivo Altos de Caruno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Deportivo Altos de Caruno's Horacio Chillon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Altos de Caruno from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gau Piedra managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D Escuela Mayor's supporters rose to their feet, but Gau Piedra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Chillon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birila Govelo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Gau Piedra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Ferruccio De Vecchis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Deportivo Altos de Caruno fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.D Escuela Mayor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
