The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Alfredo Xabel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galáctico Azul FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STØD-G™ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Galáctico Azul FC™'s Alfredo Xabel got a free kick in the 4th minute. The long shot by Teis Harkild in the 5th minute really tested Enrique Belasko's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benjamin Egehøj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Michael in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Generoso Michael left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galáctico Azul FC™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 15 played minutes STØD-G™ got a freekick which was hit by Kenney Lundø. With 18 minutes on the clock, Erasmo Mark commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Galáctico Azul FC™ getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Erasmo Mark hit a great ball. Enrique Belasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teis Harkild, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Eulalio Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Egehøj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in STØD-G™'s zone, Generoso Michael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Egehøj came out of the goal and Generoso Michael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, STØD-G™'s goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Magdaleno came free, but Benjamin Egehøj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Gaspar Magdaleno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Egehøj was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 42nd match minute, STØD-G™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Elleboe to maneuver through the defense. The STØD-G™ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galáctico Azul FC™ were winning 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgil Appelfeldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in STØD-G™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Gaspar Magdaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Benjamin Egehøj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Generoso Michael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Galáctico Azul FC™ booed when STØD-G™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Sieling didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Gaspar Magdaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galáctico Azul FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Magdaleno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Egehøj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the game, Galáctico Azul FC™'s Generoso Michael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Egehøj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Magdaleno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Egehøj was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Galáctico Azul FC™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Michael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Generoso Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Egehøj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Egehøj having to interfere. When the match was over Galáctico Azul FC™ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than STØD-G™ throughout the match.
