After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcell Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Prosperi was slow to take the kick. During this time ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players had a chance to rest. In the 87th minute of the game Válbson Moraes made a throw-in which Hulk Speed played forward. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Roceira SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Prosperi took the corner.
