The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Emanuele Cicchinelli put in a rough tackle. Ugonotti's Andrea Selvi was substituted for Amos Zarillo. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ugonotti! Achille Giannetta made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Domenico Giordani sent off a good shot on target. Achille Giannetta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Ortzi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 46th minute of the game Ismael Licerio made a throw-in which Santiago Munez played forward. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domenico Giordani to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Giordani in the 75th minute of play forced Ugonotti's goalkeeper Achille Giannetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Victor Erroman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Giannetta was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
