After 2 minutes, Breno Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ and the Celta de Virgos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute Benny Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Gaspar hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Zacarias Ascencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhu Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Zhu Zhen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zacarias Ascencio. The crowd rose to their feet as Zhu Zhen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zacarias Ascencio. That made the score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Niva in the 29th minute of play forced AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Zhu Zhen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zhu Zhen in the 46th minute. A nice corner shot did that Zhu Zhen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zacarias Ascencio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 47 minutes into the match, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Gomez came free, but Luiz Eduardo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Benny Niva made the kick off in the second half. Celta de Virgos's Sergio Sayvion quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Deivid Gaspar, made in the 52nd minute of the game. Luiz Eduardo Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Astudillo in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Eduardo Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Eduardo Gomes made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when David Astudillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, David Astudillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Eduardo Gomes. The goal made the score 3-3. The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Zhu Zhen started the play with his kick off. In the 105th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Zacarias Ascencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. David Astudillo did a quick kick off. The audience was convinced that Zhu Zhen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Ascencio was relentless in the 122nd minute of the game. Zacarias Ascencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 133rd minute there was a penalty for AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ. Zhu Zhen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zacarias Ascencio. 4-3. In the 136th minute there was a penalty for AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ. Miguel Breckenfeld stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zacarias Ascencio. 5-4. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
