With an all-out effort, Joinville Esporte Clube's Gianluigi Orange threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Gianluigi Orange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 24th minute of play. Gianluigi Orange made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amauri Vieira in the 26th minute. When Amauri Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Joinville Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amauri Vieira couldn't finish the play.
