The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Matheus Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Misinformed Buffalo's Craig Velazquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mel Holman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelsinho Leite having to make a save. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Lara in the 8th minute of play. Aírton Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig Velazquez having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eli Fournier came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Misinformed Buffalo's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Sousa came free, but Craig Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Misinformed Buffalo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Anthony Cullen hit a great ball. Nelsinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Di Stéfano in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Aírton Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Craig Velazquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dadá Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nelsinho Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredo Di Stéfano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eli Fournier came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Misinformed Buffalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eli Fournier couldn't finish the play. If Aírton Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 40th minute when Leo Alefors elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Misinformed Buffalo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Alefors to maneuver through the defense. Craig Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Gipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Anthony Cullen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matheus Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vascogoianiense FC's Leszek Chwalkiewicz was substituted for Edmílson Fernandez. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Misinformed Buffalo's zone, Aírton Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Craig Velazquez came out of the goal and Aírton Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Craig Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelsinho Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Di Stéfano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some careless play in the Vascogoianiense FC defense, Eli Fournier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelsinho Leite. The Vascogoianiense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelsinho Leite should have stopped the shot. Matheus Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Craig Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vascogoianiense FC's Alexandre Tepedino in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Misinformed Buffalo's goalie prevented a goal. After 73 played minutes, Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Craig Velazquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vascogoianiense FC reached it. After 74 minutes, Wiley Abel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Misinformed Buffalo and the Vascogoianiense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Misinformed Buffalo getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wiley Abel hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Eli Fournier made a precise shot to the right of Nelsinho Leite. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 81 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Lara came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Craig Velazquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Pirani in the 82nd minute. João Pirani struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Craig Velazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascogoianiense FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Alefors in the 86th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Misinformed Buffalo getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Dadá Lara hit a great ball. Misinformed Buffalo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
