The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Honestra Haridinata recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maksim Delić. Honestra Haridinata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Aras Bachtiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Indonesia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Croatia the free kick. After 7 played minutes U21 Indonesia got a freekick which was hit by Aras Bachtiar. 10 minutes into the match, U21 Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelis Witoelar came free, but Maksim Delić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, U21 Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mladen Gambiroža to maneuver through the defense. Dewa Cinta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomislav Kardum in the 17th minute of the match. Maksim Delić was a little too slow when Anak Junior got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Fitrah Bagjanata kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Šandor Dajčić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dewa Cinta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 29 minutes into the match, Anak Junior dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maksim Delić, 3-1. Maksim Delić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anak Junior went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Komang Wahyudi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Maksim Delić made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Honestra Haridinata took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Maksim Delić to make any attempt to save it. Andrej Palković kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Anak Junior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maksim Delić. U21 Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anak Junior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

After some careless play in the U21 Croatia defense, Anak Junior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maksim Delić. The U21 Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maksim Delić should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, U21 Croatia's Stanko Jertec got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Cornelis Witoelar notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of U21 Croatia's Maksim Delić. Maksim Delić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Komang Wahyudi in the 79th minute of play forced U21 Croatia's goalkeeper Maksim Delić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Andrej Palković put in a rough tackle. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for U21 Croatia! Kaan Zoet placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 84th minute Komang Wahyudi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksim Delić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, U21 Indonesia's goal looked a bit too open when Đuro Bernardić came free, but Dewa Cinta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dewa Cinta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mladen Gambiroža, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Dewa Cinta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Ponoš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Croatia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Indonesia.
