After 2 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Joe Blum. In the 4th minute of the match Bustos Teijeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godo Gøl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 6th minute of the match FC Lugano got a corner. Taltun SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jirko Bur ran over to the corner to take the kick. Piero Kahn made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ray Büeler sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the game, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Piero Kahn. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Piero Kahn came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Ray Büeler. But to his dismay, Ray Büeler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Piero Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 27th minute, Taltun SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elroy Zufferey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Taltun SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Barriobero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elroy Zufferey got free with Piero Kahn in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bustos Teijeira charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bustos Teijeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Bustos Teijeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taltun SC's Bustos Teijeira suffered a sore foot after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ray Büeler charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ray Büeler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Taltun SC's Arévalo Lidon was substituted for Bustos Teijeira. The supporters of Taltun SC booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Büeler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ray Büeler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Piero Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Taltun SC's Piero Kahn got control of the ball when Jirko Bur tried to sneak it across the goal line. Godo Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cántaro Acipreste in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabio Rallo to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Taltun SC defense, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piero Kahn. The Taltun SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piero Kahn should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Taltun SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jirko Bur came free, but Piero Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes Taltun SC got a freekick which was hit by Arévalo Lidon. In the 62nd match minute, Taltun SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arévalo Lidon to maneuver through the defense. Piero Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elroy Zufferey in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elroy Zufferey in the 66th minute of play forced Taltun SC's goalkeeper Piero Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arévalo Lidon during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Taltun SC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arévalo Lidon hit a great ball. Jirko Bur took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Piero Kahn. Piero Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, Taltun SC's Xayveon Asomoza got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Jirko Bur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Piero Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ray Büeler hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Jirko Bur fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lugano's protests and gave Jirko Bur a yellow card for diving instead. Jirko Bur kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Godo Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Barriobero in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Taltun SC defense, Eugenio Zarrella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piero Kahn. The Taltun SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piero Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute Jirko Bur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piero Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95th play minutes Simon Sanger shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Piero Kahn and just under the crossbar into goal.
