Placido Matiess short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Pawel Werra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pawel Werra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Maties in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Maties to make the kick off.
