The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. John Källberg took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wesley Dewinter. Wesley Dewinter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. John Källberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wesley Dewinter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Wesley Dewinter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Carew, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, John Källberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wesley Dewinter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Pezerik's Wesley Dewinter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Carew in the 18th minute of play. Octave Postens kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wesley Dewinter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Källberg's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Pezerik's Wesley Dewinter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Pezerik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youri Naessens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Pezerik defense, John Källberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Dewinter. The Pezerik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Dewinter should have stopped the shot. If John Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute John Källberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Dewinter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pezerik's Tomm Van Herendael got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 48 minutes Pezerik's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jakob Friberger who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Norrlands Athen's corner Kent Vallgren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wesley Dewinter quite easily take care of the ball. The Pezerik players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Norrlands Athen were winning 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaaf Van Dyck made a kick off. Pezerik's Wesley Dewinter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Pezerik from getting a goal against them. John Källberg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Wesley Dewinter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norrlands Athen. After 55th play minutes John Källberg shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Wesley Dewinter and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as John Källberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wesley Dewinter. That made the score 0-8 in the 58 minute of play. Tomm Van Herendael hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If John Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. John Källberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Wesley Dewinter made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Källberg in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Dewinter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Du Le Jun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Dewinter having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Erik Ljusberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pezerik's Wesley Dewinter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Erik Ljusberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Wesley Dewinter to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Pezerik defense, Tage Backlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Dewinter. The Pezerik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Dewinter should have stopped the shot. Norrlands Athen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
