Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beamard Martyn started the match with the kick off. Rudi Huiting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartel McFrancise in the 5th minute of the match. Beamard Martyn took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudi Huiting. Rudi Huiting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Blathmac Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Aelbrecht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Engwerd got a freekick which was hit by Reinhard Zuidema. Cogran AFC's Beamard Martyn got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Pearce McBrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Huiting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Engwerd booed when Cogran AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barran Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Engwerd's Meindert Ottenhof shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Blathmac Bayes but with some difficulty. Coran Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Pearce McBrand came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cogran AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearce McBrand couldn't finish the play. Engwerd were furious when Bas Fikkers was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Hendrik Melis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Blathmac Bayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Joop Tinselboer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cogran AFC's Barran Callaghan got a free kick in the 35th minute. Rudi Huiting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beamard Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Cogran AFC's goalkeeper Blathmac Bayes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascall van der Meijde. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Beamard Martyn got free with Rudi Huiting in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Hendrik Melis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Engwerd's supporters rose to their feet, but Hendrik Melis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathmac Bayes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudi Huiting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beamard Martyn in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute, Hendrik Melis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudi Huiting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rudi Huiting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pearce McBrand in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cogran AFC's zone, Pascall van der Meijde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blathmac Bayes came out of the goal and Pascall van der Meijde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blathmac Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascall van der Meijde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes Cogran AFC got a freekick which was hit by Barran Callaghan. After a rather tough play, Cogran AFC's Coran Taylor got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Meindert Ottenhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Beamard Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cogran AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beamard Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudi Huiting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cogran AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
