Ampthill FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beech United the free kick. Fitz Gerrard kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Beech United's zone, Fitz Gerrard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Allison came out of the goal and Fitz Gerrard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Sebastian Speed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ampthill FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Speed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fitz Gerrard kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The long shot by Andre Chapman in the 17th minute really tested Bernardo Abeijon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rob Joynes charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rob Joynes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when Beech United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Joynes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Speed. Sebastian Speed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Allison having to interfere. Rob Joynes made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cliff Peake however managed to control. Sebastian Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Capes was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th play minute Sebastian Speed came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eric Allison. 0-1. 62 minutes into the game, Sebastian Speed recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eric Allison. Sebastian Speed showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Bernardo Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cliff Peake in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Sebastian Speed cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eric Allison was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norman Capes got free with Eric Allison in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the game, Benjamin Welch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brendon Allanson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Beech United getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rob Joynes hit a great ball. Kirk Fenton got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cliff Peake. If Cliff Peake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Ampthill FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Beech United had held the ball for most of the match.
