Glyn Wedlock made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Harri Kaine sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Townsley came free, but Glyn Wedlock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Valiant F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Edgson to maneuver through the defense. Tod Bridgeworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Paley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calvin Townsley in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Glyn Wedlock, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Valiant F.C's Glyn Wedlock got control of the ball when Harri Kaine tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Anthony Constable managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valiant F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Constable was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Carlisle United's Steven Garner-Currie got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Calvin Townsley made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Valiant F.C's zone, Calvin Townsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glyn Wedlock came out of the goal and Calvin Townsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Townsley in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glyn Wedlock saved Valiant F.C from getting behind. Glyn Wedlock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calvin Townsley's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Glyn Wedlock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Kasey Paley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Russ Blain kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Anthony Constable shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Bridgeworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valiant F.C's Glyn Wedlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Townsley in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Valiant F.C booed when Carlisle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Garner-Currie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlisle United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
