Totyo Koshtrov started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milcho Zhalov in the 3rd minute of play forced ФК Фанагория's goalkeeper Kostadin Milov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kostadin Milov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chudomir Múdrov in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Oleg Borgovski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 minutes, Kuncho Alichkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maritza and the ФК Фанагория players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Maritza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuncho Alichkov to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Oleg Borgovski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimir Pushkov was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the game, Georgi Zografski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oleg Borgovski scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Pushkov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Valentin Bradistilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Pushkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Georgi Zografski had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kuncho Alichkov was the one to do the kick off. Kostadin Milov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veliko Lanzhev in the 51st minute of play. Vladimir Pushkov made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Oleg Borgovski sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, Totyo Koshtrov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Nenko Saraliev in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ФК Фанагория's Toshko Belberov. Oleg Borgovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vladimir Pushkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Totyo Koshtrov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of ФК Фанагория booed when Maritza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veliko Lanzhev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kuncho Alichkov in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kostadin Milov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to ФК Фанагория getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Totyo Koshtrov hit a great ball. After some careless play in the ФК Фанагория defense, Kuncho Alichkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostadin Milov. The ФК Фанагория fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostadin Milov should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Maritza's zone, Totyo Koshtrov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Pushkov came out of the goal and Totyo Koshtrov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuncho Alichkov in the 90th minute of play forced ФК Фанагория's goalkeeper Kostadin Milov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ФК Фанагория were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
