The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes in the game, Max Rebsch fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Albrecht Bollwächter having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Max Rebsch could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Albrecht Bollwächter however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's Max Rebsch got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin defense, Toni Hennrich kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hendrix Pentz. The SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hendrix Pentz should have stopped the shot. FC Lilli's Arnd Wegel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Hendrix Pentz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xaver Franz in the 51st minute. Arnd Wegel charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Herwig Fricke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albrecht Bollwächter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Max Rebsch in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albrecht Bollwächter saved FC Lilli from getting behind. After 88 played minutes FC Lilli got a freekick which was hit by Arnd Wegel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stephan Steinecke during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stephan Steinecke hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Max Rebsch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albrecht Bollwächter was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. FC Lilli's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
