The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dacian Cârju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Bidulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Dacian Cârju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Cezariu in the 12th minute of the match. Gelu Ţintea was a little too slow when Ivan Ilieș got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Ilieș got free with Gelu Ţintea in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gelu Ţintea came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s Nelu Oblemenco. But to his dismay, Nelu Oblemenco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gelu Ţintea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Ilieș's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Gelu Ţintea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelu Oblemenco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s Ivan Ilieș got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gelu Ţintea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Petrică Cezariu's late challenge caught a ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petrică Cezariu helped the player get up and apologised. After 50 played minutes GoooooooooooooooooooooooL got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Cezariu. In the 53rd match minute, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Cezariu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to GoooooooooooooooooooooooL getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cazimir Roșeanu hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Romeo Comarnescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Ferdinand Lăzărescu scored 7-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gelu Ţintea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gelu Ţintea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Lăzărescu in the 94th minute of play. After 96 minutes GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viorel Buș who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s corner Calistrat Isăceanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gelu Ţintea quite easily take care of the ball.
