Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aarón Rey started the match with the kick off. Cornel Poplăcan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Grigore Eftimescu 5 minutes into the match. Grigore Eftimescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Pantelimon went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When %teams%'s Cornel Poplăcan was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 3-0 just inside the left pole, 12 minutes into the game. Grigore Eftimescu was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Codrin Ionete took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigore Eftimescu. Grigore Eftimescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Grigore Eftimescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Cornel Poplăcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Grigore Eftimescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the match, Codrin Ionete had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grigore Eftimescu. MZ Rapid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codrin Ionete was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 29 minutes into the game, Cornel Poplăcan lined in a short shot 7-0 behind a frustrated Grigore Eftimescu. In the 32nd minute Cornel Poplăcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Eftimescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia Rio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cornel Poplăcan in the 33rd minute. In the 43rd minute, Cornel Poplăcan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Rio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Grigore Eftimescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Poplăcan in the 46th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Academia Rio's Grigore Eftimescu threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cornel Poplăcan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 9-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornel Poplăcan to make the kick off. Sergiu Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MZ Rapid booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Oltean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vintilă Luncanu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Sergiu Coșeriu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Cornel Poplăcan put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Grigore Eftimescu. Cornel Poplăcan struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Grigore Eftimescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Rio. Grigore Eftimescu came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu. But to his dismay, Dorel Nedelciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. 72 minutes into the match, MZ Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Poplăcan came free, but Grigore Eftimescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cornel Poplăcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornel Poplăcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigore Eftimescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorel Nedelciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84th play minutes Cornel Poplăcan shot 14-0, a short shot which went by Grigore Eftimescu and just under the crossbar into goal. Grigore Eftimescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Poplăcan in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grigore Eftimescu saved MZ Rapid from getting behind. 15-0 became the score in the 95th minute when Cornel Poplăcan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There was no doubt that Academia Rio were the better team. Academia Rio's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
