In the 4th minute, Sandu Irimia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iacob Plăcintă's late challenge caught a FC Luck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iacob Plăcintă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Ares FC -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Plăcintă to maneuver through the defense. FC Luck's Silviu Bădila quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jean-Jacques Ares, made in the 13th minute of the game. Sever Patriciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Codrin Vancea made a huge save. In the 15th match minute, Ares FC -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ares to maneuver through the defense. If Jack Ares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sever Patriciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Vancea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Sever Patriciu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Codrin Vancea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ovidiu Dobrica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ares FC -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidiu Dobrica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Mincu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidiu Dobrica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nicu Mincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ares FC -MM-'s Codrin Vancea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ares FC -MM- from getting a goal against them. Nicu Mincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidiu Dobrica in the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Silviu Bădila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Luck and the Ares FC -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduard Mutu hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Mutu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Patriciu in the 52nd minute of play forced Ares FC -MM-'s goalkeeper Codrin Vancea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Dobrica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nicu Mincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Irimia during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, Ares FC -MM-'s Jack Ares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicu Mincu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Sever Patriciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ares FC -MM-'s Iacob Plăcintă got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Iacob Plăcintă off the ground. In the 74th minute, Iacob Plăcintă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Codrin Vancea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sever Patriciu went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sever Patriciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Patriciu in the 81st minute of play forced Ares FC -MM-'s goalkeeper Codrin Vancea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidiu Dobrica got free with Nicu Mincu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cazimir Dijmărescu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Eduard Mutu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Vancea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ares FC -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Luck.
