After 6 minutes, Mihail Albulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lutanu and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, FC Lutanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Albulescu to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Traian hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Francisc Ţăranu got a free kick in the 9th minute. Francisc Ţăranu struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Per-Olof Berglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raureni Academy. In the 18th minute Francisc Ţăranu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Ozon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayındır Mehmet Savaşer in the 19th minute of play. George Greblă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigore Ozon having to interfere. Costică Popa's late challenge caught a FC Lutanu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costică Popa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Costică Popa got a free kick in the 24th minute. Per-Olof Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Miclea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Lutanu's Per-Olof Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Puric in the 28th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Mugur Muscă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raureni Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Grigore Ozon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Francisc Ţăranu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Lutanu's Per-Olof Berglund. Per-Olof Berglund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Per-Olof Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Ţăranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Mischie came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisc Ţăranu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bayındır Mehmet Savaşer scored 2-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grigore Ozon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when FC Lutanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Goșa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raureni Academy's Cazimir Traian got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisc Ţăranu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Per-Olof Berglund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. FC Lutanu's Bayındır Mehmet Savaşer got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Lutanu's Virgil Goșa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Costică Popa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Olof Berglund. FC Lutanu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bayındır Mehmet Savaşer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when George Greblă came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Olof Berglund made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Francisc Ţăranu sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marin Puric got free with Per-Olof Berglund in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Angheluș came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, George Greblă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grigore Ozon. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that George Greblă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Lutanu had won after a very even match.
