Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Van Haechten, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Benjamin Carberry got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 26 minutes into the match, Arsene Valkenaers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanny Tuytgans. Wesselbend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsene Valkenaers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wesselbend's goalkeeper Stanny Tuytgans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Mattijs Kloots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Tuytgans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Squad AFC's zone, Martial Beets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waud De Geyter came out of the goal and Martial Beets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsene Valkenaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Stanny Tuytgans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Mattijs Kloots made the kick off in the second half. Stanny Tuytgans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Carberry in the 52nd minute of play. If Mattijs Kloots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Frans Van Caubergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frans Van Caubergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Frans Van Caubergen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silver Squad AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Van Caubergen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wesselbend's Stanny Tuytgans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izydor Czysta in the 65th minute of play. Arsene Valkenaers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Silver Squad AFC's Frans Van Caubergen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanny Tuytgans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Stanny Tuytgans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frans Van Caubergen in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Wesselbend booed when Silver Squad AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Izydor Czysta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Wesselbend's Lander Bormans got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Mattijs Kloots managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silver Squad AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattijs Kloots was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanny Tuytgans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Silver Squad AFC had won after a very even match.
