Tony Vanbuyten had great luck who in the 54thth minute grab hold of the ball when Joppe Van Kestbeek from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Joppe Van Kestbeek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tony Vanbuyten came out and tried to block the shot, but Joppe Van Kestbeek slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 58th minute. Martijn Van Huytvenne scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Vanbuyten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Frederic Vanneste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joppe Van Kestbeek had several of the Portus Ganda's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Tony Vanbuyten as he didn't even see the shot coming. Royal Antwerp FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benoit De Maijer in the 78th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Portus Ganda's goalie and right to Henri-Patrick Peters. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Portus Ganda's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Joppe Van Kestbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Joppe Van Kestbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Vanbuyten having to interfere. Martijn Van Huytvenne succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 94th playminute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Royal Antwerp FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
