Arnold Steward showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Rooney in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lanny Rooney hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Harvey McAlpin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Galambos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Villalobos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Máté Galambos made a huge save. Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Villalobos in the 25th minute of play. Arnold Steward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Clayton in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dennis Wander hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Stowe City got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Reaves. In the 47th minute, Virgilio Molina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnold Steward was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cyryl Karpinski made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Stowe City's Phil Joyner got a free kick in the 54th minute. The long shot by Virgilio Molina in the 55th minute really tested Arnold Steward's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Stowe City's Arnold Steward proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Stowe City from getting a goal against them. Roy Clayton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnold Steward firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 60 minutes of play, Stowe City's İsmail Pekşen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Máté Galambos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnold Steward was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lanny Rooney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. Stowe City's Arnold Steward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Karpinski in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Stowe City's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin McDermott came free, but Arnold Steward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Perry Callahan replaced Roy Clayton. Arnold Steward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Karpinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stowe City's Arnold Steward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Rooney in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Stowe City were awarded a corner. Harvey McAlpin went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Stowe City's Phil Joyner got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Stowe City's zone, Virgilio Molina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Steward came out of the goal and Virgilio Molina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Alec Mullins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Galambos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Karpinski in the 97th minute of play forced Stowe City's goalkeeper Arnold Steward to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
