Spectators: 171 (Terracing: 129, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) C. A. Independiente's Sandy Spaulding started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. American Top Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Sebastián Rambert scored to the left of an out of position Boyd Delgado, making the score, 1-0. After 8 minutes of play, C. A. Independiente's Enoch Light made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boyd Delgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Sebastián Rambert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boyd Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Sebastián Rambert might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boyd Delgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastián Rambert ran back to his position shaking his head. Boyd Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Rambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sebastián Rambert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Melvin Ruffin. American Top Team's Sylvester Street got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 minutes, Sebastián Rambert made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. American Top Team's Boyd Delgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in American Top Team's zone, Enoch Light stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyd Delgado came out of the goal and Enoch Light tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. William Cochran hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lincoln Poirier to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Alberto Islas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvester Street in the 51st minute of play. Sylvester Street charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sylvester Street the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to American Top Team getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sylvester Street hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Monzón. During the 62nd minute of the match Sylvester Street completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sylvester Street a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 63rd minute, Sylvester Street hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enoch Light to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, American Top Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winford Craig to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Winters's late challenge caught a C. A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Winters helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes American Top Team got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Winters. In the 70th minute, Sebastián Rambert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 77 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Enoch Light nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boyd Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. C. A. Independiente's Sebastián Rambert got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes, Sebastián Rambert made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. American Top Team's Boyd Delgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Enoch Light put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Boyd Delgado. The supporters of American Top Team booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Ruffin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in American Top Team's zone, Sebastián Rambert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyd Delgado came out of the goal and Sebastián Rambert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the American Top Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Independiente.
