When AD Pontassolense's Guilherme Valério in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LaZuli's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Valério in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herberto Meireles in the 15th minute of the match. Sérgio Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herberto Meireles's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind LaZuli's goalkeeper Sérgio Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, LaZuli's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Valério came free, but Sérgio Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of LaZuli:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AD Pontassolense:s goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Herberto Meireles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LaZuli's Sérgio Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, LaZuli's Baltasar Guterres got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of AD Pontassolense booed when LaZuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Guilherme Valério sped through LaZuli's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Galvão. Amável Bettencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. LaZuli's Norberto Resende shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marco Bessa but with some difficulty. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the game, AD Pontassolense's Severiano Zambujal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a little luck, LaZuli's Sérgio Galvão got control of the ball when Severiano Zambujal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Sérgio Galvão managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when AD Pontassolense's Severiano Zambujal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
