Alf Nøttveit scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olav Westad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sagene IF booed when Suleskard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Brandt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olav Westad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torjus Fjellheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Kjell Ekeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Ove Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Nøttveit in the 16th minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Olav Westad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olav Westad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Nøttveit in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torjus Fjellheim in the 21st minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Olav Westad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rune Le fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagene IF's protests and gave Rune Le a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Sagene IF got a freekick which was hit by Rune Le. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torjus Fjellheim in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olav Westad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Torjus Fjellheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olav Westad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suleskard's Torjus Fjellheim managed to work through Sagene IF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Torjus Fjellheim dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 34th minute, Torjus Fjellheim made a precise shot to the right of Olav Westad. Sagene IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 37th minute, Martin Furu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Ekelund in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olav Westad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sagene IF! Kristian Neteland shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Ekelund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan-Ove Springfält stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kjell Ekeli's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Sagene IF's Olav Westad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sagene IF from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Ekelund struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Olav Westad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suleskard. Sagene IF's Olav Westad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Nøttveit in the 64th minute of play. Torjus Fjellheim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olav Westad came out and tried to block the shot, but Torjus Fjellheim slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 66th minute. Sebastian Ekelund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Olav Westad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th play minute Alf Nøttveit came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Olav Westad. 1-6. In the 79th minute, Suleskard's Sebastian Ekelund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olav Westad. Olav Westad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Olav Westad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Nøttveit in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Torjus Fjellheim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Olav Westad managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Suleskard's Torjus Fjellheim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. From close distance Torjus Fjellheim pressed in the 1-8 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 86 minutes into the game. Rolf Brandt's late challenge caught a Sagene IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Brandt helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Suleskard got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Brandt. Sebastian Ekelund in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olav Westad, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Sagene IF booed when Suleskard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarjei Halle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Suleskard's zone, Martin Furu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Ove Springfält came out of the goal and Martin Furu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Suleskard could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sagene IF throughout the match.
