The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Baristo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute, Jose Tab sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Benicio Santxol didn't even have to move. Dario Colas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benicio Santxol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Jaen went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the game, Melchor Arias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benicio Santxol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benicio Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Arias in the 20th minute of play. Benicio Santxol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Jaen went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Dario Colas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Genaro Jaen scored 0-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benicio Santxol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benicio Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Cremonese got a corner. A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Tab ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Melchor Arias managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Genaro Jaen made the kick off in the second half. Benicio Santxol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Jaen in the 57th minute of the match. Melchor Arias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Benicio Santxol skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Arias during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cremonese's Melchor Arias got a free kick in the 70th minute. Julio Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Colas, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Melchor Arias took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Benicio Santxol to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Ladislao Cordareo managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Cordareo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desiderio Restu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Cordareo in the 82nd minute of the match. Dario Colas might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dario Colas ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Santxol was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Genaro Jaen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Genaro Jaen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. After a defensive mix-up in Cremonese's zone, Dario Colas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vasco came out of the goal and Dario Colas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's goalkeeper Benicio Santxol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Jaen.
