In the 45th minute, Eugenio Mera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dalmacio Pancho. The goal made the score 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julio Merexildo made a kick off. Dalmacio Pancho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Dalmacio Pancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Mera in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Eugenio Mera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Dalmacio Pancho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eugenio Mera took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmacio Pancho. Dalmacio Pancho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. Dalmacio Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Mera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Eugenio Mera made a precise shot to the right of Dalmacio Pancho. La Tribuna Tambien Juega's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. After some careless play in the La Tribuna Tambien Juega defense, Eugenio Mera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmacio Pancho. The La Tribuna Tambien Juega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmacio Pancho should have stopped the shot. Club El Progreso walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
