Federico Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Esdras having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Ariel Austin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zarco Figueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patryk Wiater in the 24th minute of play forced Peñaloza's goalkeeper Zarco Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ariel Austin hit a great ball. In the 33rd match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patryk Wiater to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes of play, Palermo's Jhonny Del Fierro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zarco Figueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Lionel Georgiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Palermo's Marcos Esdras got control of the ball when Federico Estavan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 41 played minutes Peñaloza got a freekick which was hit by Matias Peyo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhonny Del Fierro in the 42nd minute of play forced Peñaloza's goalkeeper Zarco Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Federico Estavan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Peñaloza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Estavan couldn't finish the play. Peñaloza's Zarco Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonny Del Fierro in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jhonny Del Fierro was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Desiderio Ferrando got a free kick in the 51st minute. Zarco Figueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhonny Del Fierro in the 54th minute of the match. Marcos Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Peyo in the 56th minute of play. Peñaloza's Federico Estavan got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Peyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Peñaloza got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Jaen. In the 67th minute Jhonny Del Fierro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Georgiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Zarco Figueira made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Matias Peyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Esdras came out of the goal and Matias Peyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Peyo in the 84th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Zarco Figueira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 85 minutes of play, Palermo's Jhonny Del Fierro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zarco Figueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matias Peyo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Palermo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
