The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Hoberg United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Bertold Penner hit a great ball. Ernst Aarsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Wittrog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes, Håkon Mylliin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoberg United and the Skovbølling players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Håkon Mylliin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Skovbølling's zone, Ferdinand Jarlstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Varkov came out of the goal and Ferdinand Jarlstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frode Aaklint hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Skovbølling's Morten Wittrog got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Boye Dyrbæk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Frode Aaklint ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernst Aarsing was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Morten Wittrog notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hoberg United's Ernst Aarsing. Ernst Aarsing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boye Dyrbæk in the 38th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Ernst Aarsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Skovbølling's Boye Dyrbæk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernst Aarsing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 43 minutes into the game, Asmus Egmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skovbølling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoberg United the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Skovbølling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asmus Egmark to maneuver through the defense. If Preben Boerup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
After 53 minutes, Calle Vidø mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoberg United and the Skovbølling players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hoberg United getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Calle Vidø hit a great ball. Ernst Aarsing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samson Elong in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Hoberg United's Ernst Aarsing got control of the ball when Morten Wittrog tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hoberg United's Stuart Kaad got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match, Boye Dyrbæk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernst Aarsing saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Hoberg United's zone, Morten Wittrog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernst Aarsing came out of the goal and Morten Wittrog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Preben Boerup received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernst Aarsing came out and tried to block the shot, but Preben Boerup slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 79th minute. Hoberg United's Ernst Aarsing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Hoberg United from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Skovbølling got a freekick which was hit by Boye Dyrbæk. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boye Dyrbæk in the 91st minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Ernst Aarsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Preben Boerup's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ernst Aarsing firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sander Venge hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Hoberg United's Piet Ørslev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Piet Ørslev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hoberg United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Piet Ørslev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 96 minutes into the game, one of Hoberg United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Skovbølling's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
