BK Skjold's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannich Brolyng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Eurico Mello sped through Saco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jannich Brolyng. The BK Skjold fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when BK Skjold's Eurico Mello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Saco FC's zone, Eurico Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannich Brolyng came out of the goal and Eurico Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jannich Brolyng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chad Smith went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 35th play minutes Eurico Mello shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Jannich Brolyng and just under the crossbar into goal. 38 minutes into the game, BK Skjold's Eurico Mello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannich Brolyng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Cesinha Vargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jannich Brolyng having to make a save. When Cláudio Botelho got free in front of the goal in the 44th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jannich Brolyng was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Eurico Mello made a precise shot to the right of Jannich Brolyng. Saco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Jarud was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sivart Ernskov during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cláudio Botelho didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-14 via right post in the game's 82nd minute. BK Skjold's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Mircea Rednic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
