A collision led to Resistencia Tayrona FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Refugio Izaga hit a great ball. R.B Leipzig's Ian Grande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taurino Hernaiz in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Cyprian Mitus got control of the ball when Aloisio Munet tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 15 in the game by Aloisio Munet from a close distance when the talented Cyprian Mitus managed to make a qualified save. Resistencia Tayrona FC's players were relieved. In the 19th play minute Aloisio Munet came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cyprian Mitus. 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Resistencia Tayrona FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of R.B Leipzig:s goal. Cyprian Mitus had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Ilkay Gündoğan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Aloisio Munet scored to the left of an out of position Cyprian Mitus, making the score, 3-0. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Refugio Izaga with Inguma Espejo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Cyprian Mitus got control of the ball when Aloisio Munet tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Aloisio Munet dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cyprian Mitus, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aloisio Munet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Sven-Erik Asserlind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Refugio Izaga kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cyprian Mitus came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by R.B Leipzig's Aloisio Munet. But to his dismay, Aloisio Munet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Ospetsu Villagarcia was substituted for Zernin Losa. After a rather tough play, R.B Leipzig's Gabe Ebbe got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Gervasio Buenahora was substituted for Taurino Hernaiz. A collision led to R.B Leipzig getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gabe Ebbe hit a great ball. Ian Grande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inguma Espejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Resistencia Tayrona FC's Montrel Chamorro in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.B Leipzig's goalie prevented a goal. After 78 minutes, Refugio Izaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resistencia Tayrona FC and the R.B Leipzig players grew even worse after the yellow card. Refugio Izaga kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Aloisio Munet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cyprian Mitus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Refugio Izaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aloisio Munet came free, but Cyprian Mitus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloisio Munet in the 90th minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Cyprian Mitus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloisio Munet might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cyprian Mitus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aloisio Munet ran back to his position shaking his head. Ian Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montrel Chamorro in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Aloisio Munet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.B Leipzig fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. R.B Leipzig had won after a very even match.
