The tension between the Decathlon Dudes and the De Pelgrims players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabian Janssens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Ginneken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Janssens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Ginneken in the 5th minute of the match. Fabian Janssens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Staarman, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Kurt Ginneken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Janssens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Ginneken. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lennart de Vlieger hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart de Vlieger to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in De Pelgrims's zone, Jan Raas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurens Oosterman came out of the goal and Jan Raas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Chiel Middeljans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurens Oosterman. De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chiel Middeljans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ayuso came free, but Laurens Oosterman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Laurens Oosterman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Ayuso. De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. Chiel Middeljans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurens Oosterman came out and tried to block the shot, but Chiel Middeljans slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. Klaas Jan van der Meer charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Jan van der Meer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Decathlon Dudes booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Jan van der Meer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wilco Keldermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Laurens Oosterman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurens Oosterman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiel Middeljans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Decathlon Dudes's Chiel Middeljans fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Ginneken came free, but Fabian Janssens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De Pelgrims were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Decathlon Dudes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dirk Talsma took the corner. Dirk Talsma made a great header on De Pelgrims's corner, it was just that Decathlon Dudes's Fabian Janssens managed to reach the ball for a save. Klaas Jan van der Meer was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 46 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Raas came free, but Laurens Oosterman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chiel Middeljans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Decathlon Dudes's Chiel Middeljans made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laurens Oosterman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Juan Ayuso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens Oosterman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Laurens Oosterman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Raas, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Decathlon Dudes's Fabian Janssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Ginneken in the 70th minute of play. Decathlon Dudes had played much better football throughout.
