With an all-out effort, OLIMPIA SP's Dênis Laguna threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliézer Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Celso Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Barbosa having to interfere. If Cipriano Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Batista's late challenge caught a Tenha Dó Dó Dó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celsinho Batista helped the player get up and apologised. Celsinho Batista hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Clodoveo Chabier in the 24th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Valdomiro Barbosa's left hand side. In the 25th minute, Clodoveo Chabier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belmiro Britto hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to OLIMPIA SP getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ismael Fontes hit a great ball. Celso Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 played minutes Tenha Dó Dó Dó got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Alves. Tenha Dó Dó Dó's Dênis Laguna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Teixeira in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Teixeira in the 40th minute of play forced Tenha Dó Dó Dó's goalkeeper Dênis Laguna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Lúcio Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLIMPIA SP and the Tenha Dó Dó Dó players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Lúcio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Gustavo Batista made the kick off in the second half. Erik Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gustavo Batista's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Valdomiro Barbosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The OLIMPIA SP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Barbosa should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Tenha Dó Dó Dó's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Teixeira came free, but Dênis Laguna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OLIMPIA SP were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Tenha Dó Dó Dó's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gugu Vale took the corner. In the 69th minute, Cipriano Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Tenha Dó Dó Dó booed when OLIMPIA SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tenha Dó Dó Dó:s Dênis Laguna showed great skill when he stopped Gugu Vale:s penalty. 76 minutes into the match, Tenha Dó Dó Dó's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Teixeira came free, but Dênis Laguna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Batista's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valdomiro Barbosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Elivélton Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dênis Laguna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of OLIMPIA SP booed when Tenha Dó Dó Dó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Tenha Dó Dó Dó were awarded a corner. Ulisses Vieira went to the cornerflag to take it. Ulisses Vieira made a great header on Tenha Dó Dó Dó's corner, it was just that OLIMPIA SP's Valdomiro Barbosa managed to reach the ball for a save. Tenha Dó Dó Dó's Gustavo Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
