An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Travassos in the 21st minute of play forced Atlético de Blumenau's goalkeeper Erasmo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Turban's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute.
