The supporters of Futuros FC booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, João Vítor Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futuros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vítor Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Independente FC's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bater Cuca in the 25th minute of play. Fernando Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Lukáš Modrić made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Brasil. In the 54th minute, Luiz Gustavo Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manga Fenomeno. The goal made the score 1-2. Manga Fenomeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manga Fenomeno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Papi Hamburger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Gröhe having to interfere. Válbson Donato hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Álvaro Barbosa took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Gröhe. Marcelo Gröhe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 84th minute Hudson Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manga Fenomeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When You Yuan fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independente FC's protests and gave You Yuan a yellow card for diving instead. 96 minutes into the game, André Luiz Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Futuros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Futuros FC's André Luiz Messias got a free kick in the 96th minute. Independente FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
