Cristóvão Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. Vitório Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Cruz in the 18th minute of play. Célio Cruz took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Andrade. Vitório Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tony Hoffmann succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The supporters of Squadra Sulista booed when AF GuiFiguer OUT!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitório Andrade was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Célio Cruz. Vitório Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Oliveira in the 28th minute of the match. Vitório Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Meireles went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Rafael Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Squadra Sulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Vitório Andrade made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Marcelo Pereira sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Vitório Andrade made a huge save. Marcelo Pereira in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
