The supporters of Bene Animatus booed when Botafogo AP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauan Bertassi's late challenge caught a Botafogo AP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Cauan Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Cauan Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Clemente Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botafogo AP and the Bene Animatus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Botafogo AP got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Lopes. Bene Animatus's Henrique Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Maia in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Botafogo AP got a corner. Bene Animatus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clóvis das Neves ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Botafogo AP's corner Clóvis das Neves fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Henrique Tavares quite easily take care of the ball. Botafogo AP were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Bene Animatus's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clóvis das Neves took the corner. Eriberto Esteves was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Botafogo AP's Eriberto Esteves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Henrique Tavares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Percy Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Bertassi in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Maia to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrique Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Esteves in the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Aparecido in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Reis saved Botafogo AP from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Botafogo AP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Clemente Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Botafogo AP's Frank Goiano was substituted for José Pedro Coelho. After a rather tough play, Botafogo AP's Frank Goiano got a free kick in the 68th minute. Henrique Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 79 minutes, Eriberto Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botafogo AP and the Bene Animatus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eriberto Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Eriberto Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Tavares came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo AP's Eriberto Esteves. But to his dismay, Eriberto Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If André Luís Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Lopes went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Amílton Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Henrique Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Botafogo AP walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
