In the 13th minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Christian Proença ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caio da Costa. Caio da Costa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Imbituba - FSCMZ's Christian Proença slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caio da Costa. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. A collision led to Abutres 2003 FDP getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leopoldo Magalhães hit a great ball. Christian Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio da Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes, Geovani Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imbituba - FSCMZ and the Abutres 2003 FDP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geovani Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Geovani do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abutres 2003 FDP's protests and gave Geovani do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Geovani do Nascimento. 35 minutes into the match, Nico Rodrigues sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Caio da Costa threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nico Rodrigues this time. Vítor Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Nascimento hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fernando Gaúcho made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Léo Falcão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Caio da Costa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Proença in the 60th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Christian Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61st play minutes Geovani Dantas shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Caio da Costa and just under the crossbar into goal. 66 minutes into the game, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Christian Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio da Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Luisão Queiroz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Enéas Nascimento hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Proença in the 74th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Proença in the 79th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Proença came free, but Caio da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavinho Britto hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Abutres 2003 FDP defense, Christian Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio da Costa. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio da Costa should have stopped the shot. Caio da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Proença in the 94th minute of the match.
