Charles de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Romeu Gaspar notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Bebela's Dedê Jacinto. Dedê Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeu Gaspar in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guga Bezerra's late challenge caught a Ubatuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeu Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedê Jacinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeu Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Romeu Gaspar notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Bebela's Dedê Jacinto. Dedê Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guga Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dedê Jacinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. The Ubatuba fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Ubatuba's Romeu Gaspar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 13-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Natã do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magno das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Jacinto having to interfere. There was no doubt that Ubatuba were the better team. Ubatuba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
