After 7 minutes BARBARIDADE G.M.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zonta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jenipapo SC's Laércio Ramalho to a score. 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Leandro Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Genílson Dante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genílson Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Lima's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Leandro Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Dante having to interfere. Leandro Lima did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Genílson Dante 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Enio Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes BARBARIDADE G.M. got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Rossi. After 33 played minutes, Jenipapo SC's Daniel Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Genílson Dante came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jenipapo SC reached it. In the 35th minute Enio Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BARBARIDADE G.M. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jefferson da Silva hit a great ball. Genílson Dante was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zonta. In the 42nd match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Benedito Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Gomes in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Leandro Lima made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Jefferson da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BARBARIDADE G.M. and the Jenipapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, BARBARIDADE G.M. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Jenipapo SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
