The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chicão Tepedino during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 booed when Barões F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Elano de Sousa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano didn't even have to move. A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Gino Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Loureiro in the 19th minute of play. Cléberson Couto's late challenge caught a A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléberson Couto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barões F. C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cléberson Couto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elói da Fonseca in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Baiano saved Barões F. C. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Cüneyt Türe in the 29th minute of play forced Barões F. C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battal Cüneyt Türe, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Júlio Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói da Fonseca in the 35th minute of play. Barões F. Júlio Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói da Fonseca in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44thth minute of the game Battal Cüneyt Türe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Loureiro to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Pistolelis couldn't finish the play. Luisito Pistolelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gino Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Elói da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 80th minute Battal Cüneyt Türe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elói da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. If Battal Cüneyt Türe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, A. A.
