After the first half Club Sacode Football CIMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Branco to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Villaverde Celeste Clube defense, Nilmar Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Fernandez. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Fernandez should have stopped the shot. Romário Carvalho hit a great ball. When Válter Souto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Sacode Football CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válter Souto couldn't finish the play. Club Sacode Football CIMZ played a much better game than Villaverde Celeste Clube and deserved their victory. The Villaverde Celeste Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
