Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cauã Barreto started the match with the kick off. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Gerber in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Zé Paulo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caco de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zé Paulo Motta came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Wambalamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Motta couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the game, Caco de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REAL VASCO RIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wambalamba FC the free kick. Júlio Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Sergipano in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Zé Paulo Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wambalamba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Catarinense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gernando Gerber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Gláuber Cardozo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura. Toninho Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Caco de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in REAL VASCO RIO's zone, Zé Paulo Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Catarinense came out of the goal and Zé Paulo Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cauã Barreto hit a great ball. Alfredo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Moura having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Júlio Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eriberto Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Eriberto Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Barreto got free with Júlio Catarinense in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Sergipano to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, one of Wambalamba FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Toninho Moura, was totally fooled by REAL VASCO RIO's José Pedro Simão, who 52 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 58 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Barreto came free, but Júlio Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Dantas in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Motta in the 65th minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Júlio Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Wambalamba FC's Cauã Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's José Pedro Simão got a free kick in the 75th minute. Toninho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Sergipano in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the REAL VASCO RIO defense, Cauã Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Catarinense. The REAL VASCO RIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Catarinense should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Zé Paulo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Paulo Dantas went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Mazinho Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Wambalamba FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of REAL VASCO RIO for a fine match.
