After 7 played minutes Elite™- FC Galácticos got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Lago. Jonathan Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Donato in the 10th minute of play. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Josué Quintal scored to the left of an out of position Adam Doykin, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to Elite™- FC Galácticos getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Oséas Lago hit a great ball. Caetano Saad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Humberto Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Koehler came free, but Jonathan Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jonathan Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Donato in the 31st minute of play. If Aloísio Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Donato during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Donato. In the 42nd match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Donato to maneuver through the defense. Décio de Sena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adam Doykin. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gildo Cearense scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio Koehler was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Cearense got free with Jonathan Barbosa in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adam Doykin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Quintal in the 56th minute of play. Jonathan Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Rossi in the 59th minute of the match. Oséas Lago hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anísio Koehler in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Barbosa saved Elite™- FC Galácticos from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Quintal in the 67th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Adam Doykin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jhon Arias's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Anísio Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Anísio Koehler took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jonathan Barbosa to make any attempt to save it. 79 minutes into the game, Gildo Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jonathan Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, the referee gave CE LAJEADENSE RS a penalty. Caetano Saad looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Jonathan Barbosa. Jonathan Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Koehler came free, but Jonathan Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute, Jhon Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Doykin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CE LAJEADENSE RS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
