With an all-out effort, forsal FC's Domenico Forlano threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Ascani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 13th minute, Alberto Ascani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domenico Forlano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Domenico Forlano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Mattioli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute Alberto Ascani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Forlano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Cannata in the 22nd minute of play forced forsal FC's goalkeeper Huang Hao Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 25 in the game by Claudio Mattioli from a close distance when the talented Domenico Forlano managed to make a qualified save. Fiume Veneto's players were relieved. In the 28th match minute, forsal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Mori to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Luck Hodson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Mattioli charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Mattioli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes forsal FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Mattioli. Huang Hao Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rossetti in the 36th minute of play. Fiume Veneto's Bruno Rossetti managed to work through forsal FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bruno Rossetti dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The forsal FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when forsal FC's Claudio Mattioli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Fiume Veneto's Domenico Forlano got control of the ball when Claudio Mattioli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Mattioli made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Enrico Lorenzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in forsal FC's zone, Arturo Passerini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huang Hao Chuan came out of the goal and Arturo Passerini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Alberto Ascani made a precise shot to the right of Domenico Forlano. Fiume Veneto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. forsal FC's Alvise Sartori was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Domenico Forlano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 62nd match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Pesce to maneuver through the defense. Fiume Veneto's Domenico Forlano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Ascani in the 64th minute of play. Arturo Passerini kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, forsal FC's Huang Hao Chuan got control of the ball when Demetrio Cannata tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Mattioli in the 81st minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Domenico Forlano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, forsal FC's Meng Mo Feng got a free kick in the 86th minute. Adriano De Simone charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano De Simone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fiume Veneto's Adriano De Simone got a free kick in the 88th minute. forsal FC's Alvise Sartori couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fiume Veneto. forsal FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
