Lamine Valente started the match with the kick off. Omer Grosse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertrand Requier, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Omer Grosse made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Hilario Chale sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firmin Lescure got free with Omer Grosse in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Firmin Lescure succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. Jules Moutard hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Elegance Dijon were awarded a corner. Brendan Menguy went to the cornerflag to take it. Sebastian Ticulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendan Menguy's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Richard Gaillet hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Bertrand Requier fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Salonais's protests and gave Bertrand Requier a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bertrand Requier hit a great ball. Sebastian Ticulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Gaillet in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute Brendan Menguy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Ticulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lamine Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sebastian Ticulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Castillon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendan Menguy in the 40th minute of play forced Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Sebastian Ticulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendan Menguy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sebastian Ticulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Firmin Lescure came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Olympique Salonais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Firmin Lescure couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Chale in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omer Grosse saved Elegance Dijon from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romain Blet during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Olympique Salonais got a freekick which was hit by Romain Blet. After 60 minutes of play Olympique Salonais's Romain Blet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 60th minute, Romain Blet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Ticulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brendan Menguy in the 61st minute. Sebastian Ticulescu made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Brendan Menguy sent off a good shot on target. Firmin Lescure hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Richard Gaillet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Ticulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Olympique Salonais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Chale to maneuver through the defense. The audience cheered loudly when Brendan Menguy's long shot in the 74th minute became 1-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Sebastian Ticulescu. In the 79th minute Lamine Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Ticulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omer Grosse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertrand Requier went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Omer Grosse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrand Requier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendan Menguy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Sebastian Ticulescu made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Elegance Dijon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olympique Salonais.
